About Birmingham CBCT & OPG Hub
Birmingham CBCT & OPG Hub provides dedicated dental imaging for patients and dentists across the West Midlands. From our scan centre in Great Barr, we support cases involving dental implants, wisdom teeth, root canal treatment and general CBCT & OPG scans.
Our story
Birmingham CBCT & OPG Hub was created to give dentists and patients in the West Midlands easy access to high-quality dental imaging without needing to travel into central London or a hospital setting. We are based at 341 Birmingham Road, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 7AP, in the same building as our sister dental practice.
The service is run by a local dental team who use CBCT and OPG scans every day in their own treatment planning. We understand the information dentists need for implants, wisdom teeth, endodontics and orthodontics, and have designed the hub around clarity, safety and a calm experience for patients.

What matters to us
We focus on three simple things: safe imaging, clear information and respectful care. Every scan is clinically justified, carried out using the ALARA principle (as low as reasonably achievable) and tailored to the clinical question your dentist needs answered. We know that many people feel nervous about X-rays and CT scans. We take time to explain what will happen, how long it will take, and what your dentist will do with the results. Our aim is that you leave feeling informed, not rushed.
Clear imaging
We focus on image quality that makes decision-making easier for your dentist – correct field of view, clear views of vital structures and formats that integrate smoothly into modern dental software. This applies across all our scans, including CBCT and OPG.
Good communication

The team behind Birmingham CBCT & OPG Hub
Our hub is run by experienced dentists and radiography-trained staff who already provide routine dental care at our sister practice in the same building. We work closely together so that your scan, your diagnosis and your treatment plan all join up smoothly.
Clinical lead
Oversees clinical standards, justification of scans and integration of imaging into treatment planning for all scan types.
Radiography lead
Ensures safe use of equipment, correct exposure settings and day-to-day quality assurance for CBCT and OPG imaging in line with our radiation safety protocols.
Patient care coordinator
Looks after appointment scheduling, directions, accessibility needs and follow-up communication with patients before and after their scan appointments.
Admin & bookings
Supports referring practices with practical details such as referral forms, transfer of files and invoicing arrangements. For any queries, please contact us.
