Book or Refer for a CBCT / OPG Scan
Use this page to book a scan as a patient or to refer a patient as a dentist. The form will guide you step by step, show the scan fees, and let you choose from our current appointment times. Patients booking a specific appointment will pay a £30 deposit securely online.
How the online booking and referral works
- First we ask if you are a dentist or a patient.
- Patients are asked whether they already have a referring dentist.
- The form then shows you suitable options, lets you select scans like a shopping list and builds a clear quote.
- Where appropriate you can choose a specific appointment time from our live list and pay a £30 booking deposit.
- Dentists can refer patients without taking payment online and will receive confirmation by email.
Important: By law, all CBCT and OPG scans must be justified by a dentist. If you do not already have a dentist, this form will help you book a consultation first so that the scan can be justified correctly.

Booking and referral FAQs
Can I book a scan without a dentist?
No. All scans must be justified by a dentist under radiation regulations. If you do not have a dentist, this page lets you book a consultation first so that we can assess your needs and justify any scan safely and appropriately.
How much will my scan cost?
The form shows the current fees for each scan and builds a quote in real time as you select items. Typical fees include: CBCT Scan per arch (£137), CT Scan Assessment (£105), OPG Scan including assessment (£77), in-house referrals (£52) and radiographic reports (£250).
Why do I pay a £30 deposit?
The deposit secures your chosen appointment time and is deducted from the total fee you pay on the day. It also helps reduce missed appointments so that we can offer more slots to patients who need scans promptly.
Where are the scans carried out?
All CBCT and OPG scans are carried out at our imaging hub at 341 Birmingham Road, Great Barr, Birmingham, B43 7AP.
How do dentists receive the images and report?
Dentists receive the DICOM data and/or reconstructed images via secure digital transfer. Where a radiographic report has been requested, this is sent once completed so that you can plan treatment with confidence.
Can I request a call instead of booking online?
Yes. The form includes an option to request a callback instead of choosing a specific appointment or paying a deposit. A member of the team will then contact you to discuss your needs and arrange a suitable time.
