By bus
There is no single direct route, but one change works well:
- Take the NX West Midlands 5 from Sutton Coldfield (Gracechurch Centre) towards West Bromwich. It runs via Boldmere, New Oscott, Kingstanding and Pheasey.
- Get off at Gorse Farm, Bromford Walk, close to the Scott Arms.
- From the Great Barr Scott Arms stops, take the 51 or X51 towards Walsall to Grove Vale, Chapel Lane, a short walk from the hub.

Make one trip count
Because you are travelling across town, it helps to have everything ready before you set off:
- Get the referral sorted first. If your dentist refers you through our online form, we have the clinical question and the area to scan before you arrive. That avoids delays on the day.
- Bring previous X-rays if you have copies. They help with justification and can avoid an unnecessary repeat exposure.
- Ask about combining scans. If your dentist has requested both an OPG and a CBCT, or a CBCT turns out to be needed after the OPG, we can often do both on one visit.
- Book a set time. Choosing an appointment online needs a £30 deposit, deducted on the day. Or request a callback and pay nothing online.
- Weekend? We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Saturday and Sunday are by arrangement, so call 01922 326040.

When you arrive
Please aim to arrive a few minutes early so we can check your details and explain the scan. There is step-free and wheelchair access throughout. If you have other access needs, tell us when you book. A CBCT appointment is normally around 10–15 minutes. You stand still while the scanner arm turns around your head, usually for under 20 seconds.
Prices
CBCT £139 per arch. OPG £79, including assessment. Formal radiology report £115, which is optional. If you don’t have a referring dentist, a consultation (£54) is added so a clinician can justify the scan, as UK law requires. Fees are fixed, and secure digital delivery is included. See prices or our guide to CBCT costs.
For Sutton Coldfield practices
If you don’t have CBCT in-house, you can refer online and attach notes and previous radiographs. Patients are usually seen within 24–48 hours. You receive DICOM datasets with JPG previews by secure transfer, and viewer software is available on request. You choose the field of view (small, medium or large, up to 16 cm × 9 cm) and whether to add a structured radiology report. We respect your treatment plan and your relationship with the patient. Our role is the imaging. See for dentists.
Frequently asked questions

About 7 miles from Sutton town centre by road. That is typically around 20 minutes, and longer at peak times. The usual route crosses to the A4041 Queslett Road, then heads north on the A34 at the Scott Arms junction.
Is there a bus from Sutton Coldfield?
Yes, with one change. Take the NX West Midlands 5 from Sutton Coldfield (Gracechurch Centre) towards West Bromwich, and get off at Gorse Farm, Bromford Walk near the Scott Arms. Can I have the scan and go straight back to my Sutton dentist?
Yes. That is how most visits work. We are a diagnostic-only service, so we don’t provide treatment. Your files go securely to your dentist, usually the same day, and complex cases may take up to 24 hours. Your dentist then discusses the results with you.
Can I get an OPG and a CBCT on the same trip?
If your dentist has requested both, or a CBCT turns out to be justified after an OPG, we can often do them on the same visit. That saves a second journey. Each exposure is justified on its own merits.
What should I bring?
Your referral details (if your dentist hasn’t sent them already), and any previous dental X-rays you have. If you might be pregnant, please tell us when you arrive.
Ready to arrange a CBCT or OPG scan?
Book online in a few minutes, or call us if you are not sure which scan you need. Dentists can refer with the same form.
