Why Walsall patients come to us
Not every dental practice has its own CBCT scanner. When a Walsall dentist needs a 3D view, for example before an implant, a lower wisdom tooth extraction or a complex root canal, the patient needs somewhere nearby to have the scan. They then return to their own dentist for treatment. That is the gap we fill.
- We only scan. We are a diagnostic-only imaging service, so your treatment stays with your own dentist. We respect existing treatment plans and patient relationships.
- Short visits. A CBCT appointment is normally around 10–15 minutes, and an OPG 5–10 minutes.
- Fixed fees. CBCT £139 per arch, OPG £79 including assessment, and an optional radiology report at £115. See prices.
- Accessible. We have step-free and wheelchair access. Tell us about any other needs when you book.
Scans Walsall dentists most often ask for
Implant planning
3D measurements of bone height and width and the position of the nerve and sinus. Datasets work with most planning software. See CBCT for implants.
Lower wisdom teeth
Where an OPG suggests the roots are close to the nerve. See wisdom teeth scans.
Root canal problems
Small-field, high-detail CBCT for complex anatomy, suspected fractures or retreatment. See endodontic CBCT.
OPG overview
A quick panoramic X-ray when a full-mouth overview is what’s needed. See OPG scans.
How booking works
- Have a referring dentist? They can refer through our online form without paying anything online. Alternatively, you can book and enter their details yourself.
- No dentist? You can still use the booking form. It adds a short consultation (£54) so a clinician can decide whether a scan is justified, as UK radiation law requires.
- Choose a time or ask for a call. Booking a specific appointment online needs a £30 deposit, which is deducted on the day. Or request a callback and pay nothing online.
- After the scan, files go securely to your dentist, usually the same day.
On the day
Please arrive a few minutes early so we can check your details and explain the scan. You will be asked to remove metal items around your head, such as earrings, glasses and hair clips. Metal causes streaks on the images. If you are, or might be, pregnant, tell us before the scan. If you feel nervous about X-rays, say so. We will talk you through each step and how long it takes.
For Walsall practices
Use the online referral form to send patient details, the clinical question and any previous radiographs. Patients are usually seen within 24–48 hours. Small, medium and large fields of view are available, up to 16 cm × 9 cm. Dose information for your IR(ME)R records can be provided on request. Tell us whether you will evaluate the full volume or want a formal radiology report. Full details are on our for dentists page.
